Other then that, I would say the ECU learns the cold start start-up. Shouldnt happen again though.

You may want to read your owners manual under the cold weather starting procedures. It is interesting.

my 00, did the same for like 2 days and now its fine. (new york area).
best bet is have heat and radio off, and let off clutch easy, but like someone said i havent had that problem since those 2 days, i guess ECU adjusts?

I have an 01 that has done that twice so far. Once when it first started getting real cold and another time when it was real cold and raining outside. I'm not too worried about it. I do notice a slight drop in RPM's when I let out the clutch in neutral.

mine does that all the time when it's cold.. (down in the low teens, single digits we've been getting here in Maine)

just start it back up, and it's good to go from then on..


of course the foot of snow on the ground from last night makes starting it a mute point..

My 01 has done that twice too. Wasn't too awful worried about it, but glad to know now what it is.
