Is your car a cop magnet?
I've had mine since August, never pulled, I don't drive crazy at all so I guess I don't give them a reason.
I've had a few cops give me thumbs up and stuff on the road, which is always fun. I was going down 40 one day and saw a cop behind me, he came around and was passing me on the left, looked over at me and smiled and gave me a thumbs up. I laughed and gave him one back.
I'm 21 btw, only been pulled once (i was in my girls car) for doing 73 in a 65, bastard.

gotten outta two tickets by showing my military ID. other than that, got one quota ticket (going 9 over in beautiful weather with a clear road), and one speeding ticket i earned (74 in a 55). though i have a NFR, i find usually if you're careful and not driving too fast or crazy, you usually have no problems.
I know this thread has been going on for some time now but I just got pulled over about 30 mins ago and here's my story...
I went and played some ball and stopped by an Applebee's to grab a bite with some friends afterwards. On the way home, we drove through an area known highly for its weekend street racing frenzy. When the freeway entrance line was over a 1/4 long from all the "night racers" trying to get to the next spot, I decided to pull to the next light and flip a u turn and get home. I guess some other people saw me driving ahead and decided to follow (with a 5-0 following). I pulled a U-turn not knowing it wasn't allowed (it was late, and I didn't see the sign) and everyone else followed and guess who got pulled over? The WRX packed with 5 people, loud ass exhaust and no front license plate or the Neon green Eclipse with a huge wing ? Nope! I did. And that's all I have to say about that. Good night.
btw, I told the truth and got a warning.

I don't get bothered AT ALL by the police in this car, which is a nice change for me. My previous daily driver was an SRT-4 which was too boy-racerish and got all kinds of attention from police. That got tiring.
I must say I got this car at 22 and about to turn 24 now. I will say this:
I've been pulled over over 10+ in this car than I did in my first car *Saab 9-3* and I was only pulled over in that car like 3 times in 3 years of ownership.
The S2000 definately has a stigma attached to it of speeding. A lot of it has to do with it "looking fast" when driving by and it's go cart look when you lane change.
Also the added noise doesn't help as well.
I'm glad every single day that I'm still on my parent's insurance and just hoping to stay on an additional 2 years so I can hopefully be able to afford my own in future.
If you're gonna get pulled over, do it out of state and not in the state you live in so you don't get points depending.

If you get caught speeding out of state, you can possible go to jail until you post a bond.
Probably not the norm for a routine speeding ticket, but it's always a possibility depending which state and maybe which town.
If you get caught in speed-trap hell, you'll probably be escorted to appear before a judge who specializes in taking money from out of state and out of towners.

I've had my car for about a year now and only got pulled over for having yellow film over the headlights. The FHP trooper was on the right side of the expressway and I was in the middle of 5 cars driving at night doing the 55 limit, I made a fake receipt for bad ground on the headlights and got the case dismissed in court.

I'm always getting pulled over but in all fairness I am normally doing something wrong
Cops harass people all the time, especially if there is a stigma attached to the car. I came out of a parking, the road was free so pulled through 1st and into 2nd in an Alfa 147 1.6 btw (doing around 70kph in a 50kph zone). I have an exhaust and an intake on the car + Italian engine sounds pretty loud and nice and deep. Two cops with a laser gun, one pulls me over and he then goes and asks the other one what speed I was doing?! Turns out the laser gun shot the moped that was in front of me and showed 55kph (they can't fine for 10% over)! Then the dick went on to look for another reason to fine me, searching everything, until eventually he got my friend in the back seat for not wearing his seatbelt
In the end my issue is that they pulled me over without knowing what speed I was doing just because they heard a loud noise from the car. The worst thing is they hide behind buildings, trees etc and lean out with the laser gun to try and catch you out. Maybe they should be taught the phrase 'prevention is better than cure!' What is the point in catching you speeding when they could just put a sign saying 'speed camera in operation' and stop you speeding? If they catch you speeding most people will do exactly the same again next time anyway .. if the cops spent more time trying to prevent people doing things, rather than catching them out to cover their monthly quota, there would probably be less accidents etc
Just mu opinion anyway!!

Logic, as it were, isn't a strong suit of corporations. The police are definitely a corporation- with deadlines, quotas, and bonus for good work. As long as we speed- they're in business. So prevention will only work if we the Drivers institute it, like I had to. Because the pigs sure as hell won't....
