Default Your though on buying a demo S

There's an '05 w/ 14k miles that I'm looking at. The current owner bought it with 4k miles from a Honda dealer last year. I asked the owner if it were a demo and they're weren't sure, they said it was likely a demo. I still think that's quite a lot of miles for a demo. Is it worth the risk? What are the negatives if the engine weren't broken in correctly? What should I look for? The only reason I'm really consider this is because it's GPW and it's my top choice of color.

Unless you're really getting a good deal, find a new one. You can usually check dealership inventory online, and find the color that you're looking for.

I have never heard of or seen a S2000 demo.
I'd carfax the sucker and if the price is north of 25k I'd get a new one.

Cars that stick around the dealership inevitably get driven by the staff.

Tq, I'm not sure what to advise you. What you're talking about is a used car, plain and simple. I guess you should compare with other similar models and look for a lower price because of the uncertain history of the car (oh, do a CARFAX for sure on this one).

Almost certainly, whoever bought the car from a dealer with 4000 miles must've gotten the car for used car prices. They would've been insane to pay a lot for that. You can reap the benefits by getting yourself a low price.
