Default 02 ECU upgrade

I just bought an 02 ECU for my 01, the seller is including the key.

Here is my question, will his key start my car? I know I have to have my keys programmed to the new ECU, but..... do I need to install the ECU in Honda's parking lot or have it towed over to get it to run? Or can I use his key to drive it over?

Could I just put my key in the hole and keep his close by?

I realize that may sound dumb...

I just went to the dealer and had them put in the new ECU and program it(simple for them to do)to recognize my key. Should take them 15min or so.

$90 out the door. Should only be an hour of labor charge..anymore and they are taking you for $$$$.

Sounds good, I'm having service done on Monday anyways, I'll just get them to go ahead and do it along with it.
