I'm running 5400K and it lays a nice blanket of white in the road. 6000K and higher looks cool, but you lose a lot of clarity and visibility.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the 5400k is also the same color temperature as natural light...

And yeah, you can either access the bulbs behind the fender, or pulling off the headlights, which requires bumper removal...

McCullough, I've never had a problem with their kits yet! I would like to try the new PIAA D2S replacements some time.

I hate to say it, but you might as well have thrown ur money in the toilet and flushed. The life span on those are half of the OEM Phillips/Osram capsules. and ur losing lumens.

I can get 6000K-10000K McCullock bulbs for 165 shipped.
again, just give ur money away. don't waste it. you won't see jack shit espeacially with 10k and do really well with halogen applications, but are horrible with HID lighting.

There have been many tests done be our members on hidplanet.com and http://faqlight.carpassion.info/ on those 6k+ asian capsules and the outcome was no where near the OEM capsules. Take it from someone who has been there and learned his lesson. Trust me, I don't use anything but OEM when it comes to HID and i've done my share of headlamp retros ect...

kpxguy411, stick with either McCullough or the PIAA bulbs. I'm sure those are the looks you are looking for. You won't be disapointed. Waste your money like we all have

its true that you lose lumens. That doesn't neccesarily mean you lose visibility. The disatnce to which you can see ahead is diminished but these are bright! They can seriously blind you.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't this 'line' because of the projection lens encasing the bulb?
