Doesn't AAA offer free towing with certain plans 50-100miles? Ask your friends with AAA

Even though you are a ways away from Billman it would be worth it to take it to him or someone else very familiar with the S that will not rip you off!!

it may be cheaper to pull and rebuild the engine you have with better parts..... check your oil level see how low it is.... drain and check for shavings also...

I have a car here now with spun bearings, knocking pretty bad. Pulled the pan and did new bearings, car is good as new. Parts and labor total 390.
The tow could cost a grand and you'd make out great.
Sad to say I know what the outcome will be if you let that place try to fix your car.
I'd give you the best price on the tow, and come with the flatbed and get the car myself.
Hope I have made a good offer

If you over reved enough to damage a wrist pin or piston, the valves would be bent about 2k rpm under what it took to do so.
It would not run at all.
The diagnosais you got is a complete guess, and a bad one.
