Default AC Intermittently Blowing Cold

I've been having AC issues with my car since I've owned it, and I was looking for some advice. The AC blows cold for about 20 minutes, then ambient air for about 30 minutes, then back to cold. Anyone know what could cause this?

I tried charging it this weekend with one of the off-the-shelf kits, but the pressure was right where it should be.

I never use my AC since I always have the top down (probably what caused this), but have been using the highway more often recently.

Thanks in advance.

How did you charge the system? Did you have the car turned on with the AC blowing at maximum level?

Water in the system, your expansion valve ices over and blocks refrigerant getting into the evaporator. Get the a/c charge evacuated and change the drier, your symptoms are only going to get worse.

The AC was at full blast and car running of course. Ended up not charging it since it was already full.

I will look into a replacement drier.
