Default Accessing rear taillights on an 02

All,

Quick, easy and maybe obvious question.

How do you access the rear taillights from inside the trunk? There are these plugs with plungers in the centre of them holding in the trunk lining and I just want to know how best to remove them without breaking them.

Many thanks!

I believe you'll need to push in the center (plunger) in, then you should be able to take out the plastic clips using a flat screw driver.

Careful, don't push the "plunger" in as it can fly into the hollow metal space of your trunk if pushed too hard (then lost forever). These little snaps are about $4/ea to replace.

Instead, use a very small screw driver or needle to pull the center piece out. Then the snap comes off easily. I find that pulling is easier than pushing for the trunk.

Thanks guys! Didn't know whether to push or pull. I'll give it a shot tonight!
