ok get about 1ft. of 1/2" 1ft. of 5/16" and about 2ft. of standard vacuum line I believe its 1/4" but I couldn't tell exactly.

Hope that helps, and following the V2 tutorial should help as well

thanks silver

okay um i just ran my hand along the vacuum system and it looks to be already set up the way it is in the vacuum line tutorial so im confused about what i need the vacuum tubing for or rerouting at all.

these two are the hoses you would be replacing with the 1/2 and 5/16?

if so i dont see why you couldnt reuse the one on the right. the one on the left however is solid.

You dont replace the hose on the right. you replace the one on the left that connects directly to the engine.

okay so a quick trip to two shops and no 5/16 inch hose and apparently vacuum hose goes by mm. online shops have like.. 3.5 mm 4.0 mm 6.0 mm 8.0 mm and 10.0 mm silicone vacuum hoses. also, does anyone know the psi of the cooling system and how hot it gets? thanks

hmm? mm? They don't have to be in mm, just look at the size of what are in there right now, get those same lines...I think they are 1/4" so just look at what you have and compare that to the 1/4".

However there is a doubt in my mind and they MAY POSSIBLY be 1/8" but I don't think they are that small.

Cooling system is about 210F normal operating and PSI of stock is about 14-15 I believe. like 1 to 1.1bar aftermarket caps bring the system to 1.3bar.

Last, about where to find 5/16" hose? umm they don't have 5/16" heater hose? that would work just fine. If you can't find it at an autoparts store try something like Ace, True Value, Lowes, or possible Home Depot. A shop like that should have some sort of 5/16" hose that can handle "some" temps. The 5/16" is just the PCV recirc thing...those with oil catch cans "bypass" this even a breather filter could be put there. But anyway, it only needs to withstand temps that the valve cover reaches so no more then 210F

what about silicon heater hose? apparently its better than rubber hose for just about everything.

they have all the sizes i need there except their vacuum hoses are listed in mm.

Sure you can use it if you want to have cool looking hoses otherwise there is no need for it.

and also 3.5mm is what you would use for 1/8" 6.0mm is 1/4"
