It won't make enough difference for any horsepower gains. I modded the airbox when I first got the car but it didn't do anything other than give a slight, and I mean very slight, growl to the intake noise.

The factory airbox is designed to flow efficiently all while keeping noise to a minimum. Its really not a bad design at all. Taking the top off the box will give you a kick butt noise but it will heat soak and you will lose power. Been there, tried that.
