Is it all right to mix engine oils?

Default Is it all right to mix engine oils?

I think the dealership used 10/30, but I bought a quart of 5/30 oil by mistake. Is this all right for the engine?

If you add half a quart of 5W-30 to your engine mostly full of 10W-30, you'll wind up with a bunch of 9.54W-30 .
