Upper right hand corner should be your screen name and avatar. Click onto down button. Then PRIVATE MESSAGES. On the left of new screen should be SEND NEW MESSAGES, under PRIVATE MESSAGES.

that was not me actually... Someone decided to hijack the thread to ask you that. Here is where I am at today, got the valve cover off now just waiting for it to cool down.

The "moderate" drag you're feeling for on the gauge is the same drag your finger feels when you rub any surface without pressing down. Be patient and methodical, make sure all the adjusters are locked before putting the valve cover on. Also do not crank down on the jam nut it will strip, 14ft lbs isn't much.

I am watching with interest. Its been 40 years since I adjusted valves on an engine I am trying to work up the gumption to do it on my own s2k. Or, I could just bring it to my very trusted mechanic. Think on it. That description of the drag you should feel when properly adjusted is helpful.

You may not have PM available yet as a new user. Not sure what the wait time is - maybe two weeks? But, if you join and become a member then you can use PM immediately and it helps support the site.

S2K632, it will be two weeks from date of sign up before we can message, if you haven't paid the member fee. PM sent.

Mitchelperkins, how's the car?
