AP2 - Cruise Control Question
OK scanner and camera are not cooperating this morning so here it is written right from the manual. Seems a bit screwy but this worked for me on the first adjustment. If that doesn't work they have some checks listed for the CC module itself and the steering wheel buttons.
As for the snow no worries with the S, he has been sleeping since November
and likly will be until late March at this rate
On to it now...
1. Loosen the nut nearest the CC module on the cable, I am going to call this nut "B" going forward.
2. Back off the nut furthest from the CC module, I am going to call this nut "A" going forward
3. Pull back on the cable sheath removing all slack in the cable.
4. While holding the cable with no slack position nut "A" 3mm (1/8") from the bracket
5. Release the cable and tighten nut "B" tp 7.2lbf-ft
6. Cable shall now deflect 4-6mm
7. Remove the CC module cover and disconnect the cable from the actuator (don't take it off the bracket)
8. Turn nut "A" until it is 9mm (0.35in) away from the cable bracket
9. Pull the cable until nut "A" is touching the bracket
10. Tighten nut "B"
Steps not in manual but
11. Reconnect cable to the CC module
12. Make sure when you rotate the linkage and the cable is pulled 9mm from it's starting point that the throttle starts to open.
