Lucky! I think that cat of yours scared it into behaving.
When mine started doing this some years ago. The first "fix" lasted about a month. The next one lasted about a week. The next one about a day. Then it would do it for only one cycle. I got sick of it and put in the Autoloc device.

I found the intermittent behavior may me related to the pressure on the glass... mine works 99% of the time if I open the door getting the window off the gasket, but much less often (depending upon temperature) when the door is closed. Last time I took it to the dealer for repair it worked every time, and failed consistently later.
