Bad Steering Feedback (numb steering feel)
Not sure where you get your info but the original S02 has long been out of production. Now its only available in the Porsche N3 designation version, that I will maybe try in spring. And I have no idea whats the difference with the original s02 s2000 tire. Nobody knows!!

You assumption about the summer tires isnt true. I have the Bridgestone RE002 which are presented as a max performance summer tire with semi slick looks. And in 16" is soft sidewalled as hell.

They get very good reviews, but suck in the 205-55-16 size. Im sure those revies were from thinner sidewall examples. The sidewall is just mush wobly. You can push the car easily sideways when parked and see it bounce back and forth if you know what I mean. The tire has a lot of sideways play

But I like the nimbleness of the 16" on the car. It feels more alive on backroads. The 17" oemRE050 I have driven are much more stable, and increas corner speed easily. But I like the playful feel of the 16 and they feel a bit quicker around town. Well I sold the 17", so im stuck to 16 for the moment. So just looking for stiff 16 inchers

If you know any specific tire that has a stiff sidewall in 16" 205mm please tell me!!

I told you strait up all Extreme summer come with a firmer 2 ply sidewall construction and SOME max summers, which would imply not all, right? My point in stating this too you was again to help steer you in the right direction, offering you some discernment on what you need lookout for. Maybe you should learn reading comprehension while doing your own trial and error rather then insult someone who is actually giving you focused strait forward advice on your issue/complaint.

The last time I ran 16's with S02 on this car was 2005, so yeah I have not kept up with whats available or discontinued in 16's. Just my input and experience with how they handle and their construction and why that's important.

But thanks for your input. I will do a search for Extreme summer tires on tirerack and see if those sold in the US are sold in Europe where I live and look further into them.
I pumped up the front to 2.5 bar 36 psi? in the bridgestones as reccomended here and set the rear Goodyears from 2.2 to 2.3 bar.
I turned off the eps by taking out the fuse.
I got quit a bit of road feedback that i was looking for, even could feel some bumps in the road in my hands like I wanted. But steering very heavy, also in quick turns steering is heavy.
Benefit of the heavy steering is that it need attention and it reduces wanting to overpower thrue the turn which is easy with the normal low feedback and feeling the car can take anything with EPS on in my opinion. The EPS off gives more reality of traction is my first impression.
However, I had the feeling that on turn in I started with some understeer before the front grabbed. I think due to high tire pressure and less conract patch up front is that possible? Or do I need to tab the brake right before I turn in to get the front down?
Havent tried this setup yet with the EPS on.
Anyone wants to chime in?
