Smile Bogging / Can't figure it out

Hey,

I have 55k on my 02 S2k. It was like a swicth and my car decided that it was going to start idling violently. I thought it was going to stall or the piston was going to come through the block, but it didn't. Ever since it hasn't run smooth.

Issues:
First at a stop with the clutch all the way in it will every once and a while it will violently shake. They come in spurts, one every few seconds it will stop and then it will start again.

Second as I am driving it will jerk and sputter at about 2k-3k. It doesn't matter what gear i am in or how hard or light I punch the accelerator. The sputter is pretty consistent.

It all started after I hit the VTEC trying to catch a light and i don't feel like my VTEC has re engaged since. The Oil level is at the max. The car just had an oil change.

The car isn't throwing a code so I am at a loss. I reset the ecu today but that didn't seem to effect it at all. I would really like to figure this out since I don't want to drive the car at all.

Any ideas?

Try the map whack / clean? Air filter in good condition? Throttle position sensor?

You can't feel vtec engagement?

Weird. Start from the beginning. Pull the plugs. replace them if they have any wear, add the best gas you can find locally, map wack. Look for wires that might have been knocked during the changes. Pull the VTEC solenoid.

I just had a bogging/spurtering issue not as bad as you desribe yours though and my plugs were black. Might have been because I think I was running my emanage without the s/c for a little bit but dont remember. Check your plugs though and try the map whack also.
