Bonnet wont open!
Went to check the levels tonight & the bonnet wont open. Not an inch. Cable seems to be pulling OK -right around the the front of the car, where it heads under a plastic shroud, but we just cant get it to budge.
Is there any other way of opening it - other than the conventional route.
I've just wasted an hour with my arm through the lower grille opening -to no avail.
I'd welcome any suggestions, please!

Try getting someone to push down on the hood by the latch while pulling the hood release lever. If it's just a sticky latch that needs some grease, that might do the trick.

I had the same issue a while ago.
Go sit in front of your car, pul your arms through the front bumper, and try to find and push the 3 black pins,
out of the A/C cover. The cover is on top of your hood lock.
If you have pushed them out, you can push the A/C cover up, and than you can reach to the hood metal cable and the hook
who secures your hood.
carfull, it's really hard, you have to do it blind, just take your time, and get your arms scratched bij the front bumper.
When your hood pops open, just install 2 ty-raps on the metal cable, after the hook. So you make the metal cable a little shorter,
This can happens because your cable get stretched.
Good luck!
