i hve the same problem. have u checked ur valve cover? is it wet with oil? i just looked around my shield for the header, and it seems like theres a bit of oil in that area too

I had a valvecover leak in that area, replaced the gaskets (set) and is bone dry, only 55k on the engine.

Mine is a bit wet there too, didn't think it was because the gasket was leaking though.
