Can I resurface this flywheel?

Default Can I resurface this flywheel?

Hey guys. just want to get some opinions on if I can resurface this flywheel. what's concerning me is the lip that's been created around the edge. thanks.

Yes but with the caveat at that depth I'd have the whole face skimmed and the shoulder set back down again

They're going to have to match the shoulder (where everything bolts to) down to the same depth as the flywheel

The clutch PP bolts are going to protrude more than they should.

Idk. I would just let this one go. Buy a new flywheel

It looks like you used a metallic friction disc? That makes the PP and flywheel a 1 time use item.

I vote for a new OEM one and be done with it. Might as well go OEM on the rest of re-build.replacement.

Normally I'm a big fan of oem parts. But in the case of the flywheel, I'd only recommend oem ap1 (14lb) disk if you had a heavier (22lb) ap2, and wanted to save money by buying decent used one.

Otherwise highly recommend go aftermarket light weight.
