The clutch is loose? Have you checked your fluid yet?

So what is the solution to this problem? I have the same symptoms... I'm unclear as to what the solution stated here was.

My clutch master cylinder went out, and I had similar symptoms. Replaced it, and rebuilt the slave master cylinder while I was at it, and it's been golden ever since.

If you see a drop of fluid leaking out the piston/cylinder behind the clutch pedal it's time to replace the master cylinder.

also, I don't see that any fluid is leaking from either the slave or the master. I just replaced the clutch. The fluid looks kind of dirty. Could that be it?

After the Clutch Master Cylinder was replaced was the pedal adjusted correctly with a little bit of play at the top? When I bought mine the previous owner told me the clutch had been replaced. The clutch felt very tight throughout it's travel, but I figured it was a beefier clutch or something. It was an incorrectly adjusted pedal that was the problem and it blew out the CMC in less than 10k miles.

The clutch fluid gets dark pretty quickly in these cars. I doubt that would cause this issue, but it can't hurt to replace it. Try to remove as much fluid as possible out the top using a turkey baster or similar before flushing/bleeding the rest.

Woot, glad to have helped. Always start with the most simple solution first.

My issue was the pedal adjustment. It was WAY out of adjustment. I tightened it up, and now the clutch is dis-engaging fully.
