you can add a mix of baking soda + water or diet coke. anyways the diodes cannot be changed on the alternator. you need to buy the whole assembly which is called the rectifier. it holds the diodes. this is also what cause the flickering of the dash when at idle. if i was you i would try to find a wrecked s2k instead of buying a brand new alternator. there expensive....

There's a place in mesquite I got my refurbed alternator and it worked great, it was around 150 + core? I can't remember exactly but it was around that much.

http://www.maniacelectricmotors.com/

Is their website and they offer a 2yr warranty w/ the alternator so I would suggest you try them if after you test voltage and the new alternator you got is dead.

yea i just bought it. it was nothing i could've checked or looked at when i bought it right? I had it for maybe 2 months now talk about my luck. Yea ill find out what it is. The guy at AES told me that its something that happens to the S2000. and i asked if there was a recall or something, But its not that big enough where they get a recall. I was trying to save up for some wheels. looks like its going to delay me.
