Default Carbon Fiber Mirror Install?

I've been searching (so for unsuccesfully ) for a guide on how to remove the entire side mirror assembly to install aftermarker CF mirrors. Is it necessary to take off the door panels? I'm betting it is.

Yes, it sure is. There are bolts holding them on and you get to them from inside the door.

Good luck

1st door took about an hour 2nd door 30min. If you have some one hold the mirrors in place it will go much faster. Doing it by yourself is a pain, but I am too impatient

You will need to roll the window down about half way and take the door panels off. I saw a thread on here that said the windows needed to be removed, but it was not necessary for me (I have skinny arms though )

Anyone ever install CF doors? Im looking at taking everything out of my door and putting it into the CF door with some CF mirror. Anyone ever do this? or know of a write up on it? I want to make sure i do it in the right order. Also wanted to know if you could remove the side impact beams from the stock doors. It appears in the Shop manual that they can but obviously havent seen this for myself yet. Sorry to thread but you found your answer so
