CEL...White Smoke
Hey guys,
Today I was driving to work and noticed my CEL popped on. It came on a month ago and I took it over to Honda, they told me it came on because my gas cap wasn't tight which sounded wierd to me because I always tighten my gas cap at least 3 clicks. So I didn't think much of it since the mechanic told me everything was fine. Well, when Igot to work today I checked my gas cap and sure enough it was loose again! I tightened it back up expecting the CEL to go off but it didn't. I have also noticed that white smoke has been also emitting from my exhaust (usually more frequent at higher RPM's and when I shift) for the past 2-3 weeks. Didn't think much of it until the incident today. Did some research on this and it seems like it could be some major mechanical problems with the car but im not quite sure. Im going to take it to Honda hopefully tommorow. The car seems to be running just fine other wise. What should I expect out of this situation just so I have an idea of what the mechanic might say.
Thanks,
Allen
