Default changed diff fluid

i changed my fluid after my break-in period of my new gears. i put le-607 in there and i filled as much of the bottle as i could with a hose attached to the bottle, but i never got the fluid to overflow telling me it was full enough, but the bottle is almost empty. i filled the diff with the rear end up higher than the front so it might have allowed more fluid but i want to be sure theres enough fluid in the diff before i drive the car. please let me know what you think. thanks.
CHRIS.

The only way to really know is to lift the car so that everything is level, take the fill plug out and see if any comes out of the hole. If it doesn't, stick your finger in the hole to check where the level of the fluid is. Put some more in if neccessary. If you put almost the whole bottle in, it will probably drain out of the hole when you check it again.

Did you drop the car back down to a flat ground level so excess diff fluid can leak out? It sounds like you may have just threw the fill plug back in while the car was at a angle.

The diff will take:

0.78 US qt at oil change
0.81 US qt at rebuild

If anything, you have too much in there. Simply remove the fill-bolt while the car is level and let it leak out until it stops dripping.
