Default Changed the oil

Changed the engine oil, the diff oil and the transmission oil today. This is the first time I have done this on this car myself (I have changed the oil on many other cars and trucks before) I did not have a floor jack or 4 jack stands so I had not done this work myself on this car. A friend of mine brought his over today and we did it fairly quickly. I was pleased that after 5000 miles the car had not used any oil that I could measure, I guess this should not superise my as my 99 Honda Odyssey has 135,000 and it does not use any oil either Honda sure makes a nice engine. Last time I used Mobil 1 extended. This time Castrol synthetic Edge. Love the car.

Should be in s2000 talk, but glad you didn't have any problems with your maintenance of the car. This car is surprisingly easy to work on, proving it is still a Honda.

Its all good. Want the oil change even easier? I plan on getting a Fumoto drain valve. Put it in place of your drain plug, and you dont even need to jack your car up for an oil change.

Being the paranoid type I always worry about anything different when it comes to oil drain plugs but I will check it out.

Thanks

"I was pleased that after 5000 miles the car had not used any oil that I could measure", did you mean it did not burn oil? After 58,000 miles and checking oil levels at every fuel fill up, I have never had any oil issues too.

Correct it did not appear to use any oil. I checked the dipstick regularly from the start of the last oil change and the one I just did and the oil level had not moved at all. Not the most scientific but this car is sure a lot better than my wife's 2000 Passat.
