Buy one this year and wash the one you take out and let it dry ... Use that one next year when you do it again ......

They will last .. just don't through it into the washing machine ....

just changed mine, and i used the ebay ones from a dealer in tx. i put one of these in another car too. $12 shipped and mint quality. THanks for the write up.
Filter was incredibly filthy at 35k. No 5mm hex, but i used a needlenose and flat head screwdriver to lightly pry up 3 of them. easy enough if you take your time and don't force it.

Nice write up changed mine on 2002 27000 miles very dusty but hold it up to the light and you will see its stopped up, even if it looks like you can clean it up trash it and replace it.

Bumping this. Got a replacement filter on ebay for $8 shipped. Car has 51k miles and I've never changed it lol

As it seems from the 2008 S2000 Honda manual that they now recommend to replace at 15k miles instead of 30k miles. FYI
