chasing this high idle!! help!
cant get an idle under 2,000 rpm, even when warm. heres what ive tried...
tried:
deep clean IACV
smoke test intake mani @ TDC (tiny bit of smoke came out of the throttle body screw but i highly doubt that could cause this?)
adjusted throttle screw all the way back
took throttle cable off and checked idle, still 2k rpm
to do:
try additional IACV
check tune (AEM V2)
car was recently tuned by jeff evans, so i highly doubt were looking at a tuning issue. what im wondering now...
- is the IACV adjustable like a TPS? when the screws are loose it does have a little bit of back and fourth play
-could it be the TPS? its got the factory rivets
-AEM serial gauge reads 2.75% at idle and 99.2% at WOT, jeff said this is normal and that it is certainly a vacuum leak.
- jeff also said that you cant re learn the idle because its not a factory ECU... so thats out.
any help is greatly appreciated!
