Cluster Emergency Brake Light

I believe the float completes (grounds) the circuit for the red brake warning lamp so it is supposed to be open (no continuity) if your brake fluid level is fine.

Id try this: with the parking brake down (released) try putting the top down at a stop. If it goes, your issue is the parking brake switch. Either it would be shorted/stuck or you need to adjust as the previous post explained.
