Default "BRAKE" light coming on

Ok, heres whats going on. My car sat over winter with the ebrake sat. Now when I brake hard and take a sharp corn fast, the "BRAKE" light comes on and goes off when power is applied. The light only comes on when i let off the brake. The corning problem i dunno. I don't touch the brake and it shows up.

Now I have check the brake fluid and it was fine. pads seem decent(could choose to replaced and will soon, but squeaking or anything). The only other thing i could think would be the sensor with the E-Brake could be going bad. is there a way to disable that so i can elimnate that from being the problem?

Pull up on the center console and there is a connector and switch for the E-brake. just disconnect that switch and test your car to see if it went away

When you press the brakes you piston in the brake caliper is pushed out lowering your brake fluid levels. If your brake fluid is just on the minimum line then I would add a little to it and see if that makes the problem go away
