I just got my clutch done at a local shop that I trust. I ordered everything from HTG oem friction disc, pressure plate, throwout bearing, pilot bearing, synchromesh fluid for around $517. The local shop charged me $180 for the clutch job and $40 to turn the flywheel. Another $40 to bleed the brakes and $40 to bleed the clutch master cylinder. Total was $300 and car runs great! You should shop around before you decide. I got a quote from another place which was $500 just for the clutch job! Dropped my car off and picked it up the very next day!
you've gotta tell me where you went!!!

are you in so cal?

best labor prices i've gotten for clutch job is $600.

Honda dealers will mark up the part a little so it is easy to pay $1200 for parts at a dealership.

The clutch is considered an 8 hour job and they will often tack on an hour for the flywheel so 9 hours, at a premium Honda rate of $80 will come to $720, plus a 5% shop supplies charge comes to about $750. If you have to pay tax on that it can be higher.

I would say you are getting the average treatment from the dealer. There are cheaper ways to go, but not at a dealer.
