They are $120 each ($240 a pair) on Amayama right now too. Plus $26 shipping. That is another good source if you can wait for the shipping from Japan. Friend of mine bought his OEM clutch stuff from there and I think spent $400 less than I did on the whole set of parts, cause when I ordered mine I did not know about Amayama yet
Note also that a lot of them on ebay I see show two mounts but list 50810-S2A-003 as the part number, which of course is the part number for one mount. So just be sure that you clarify they are indeed shipping two mounts, not just one, as a lot of them show a listing and give a price ea. I mention this because Honda does not sell them in pairs, so "ea" means one single mount. The one pictured above seems to state the set with the trans mounts so that looks good to go but just mentioning it cause of the other ebay sellers I see out there selling them.

That eBay listing seems legit and is a lot less than HPN or Majestic.
I'd recommend RHD Japan as a good option when looking for genuine JDM parts. They are reputable and ship fast via DHL or Fedex. Oh and their prices on some parts are just great! Case in point I bought a genuine TRD MLS 0.8mm headgasket for my Toyota Corolla 20 Valve for $45 from them

Good news. Turns out my clutch isn't as bad as I thought. It's my clutch master cylinder that started to go bad, that was causing the engagement to feel bad. I checked the reservoir and it was almost completely empty. So I topped it off, cleaned out the crud, and bled the slave. I inspected the interior side and there is evidence of fluid leaking from the plunger. It's performing good enough for now. I may just return the clutch kit to Rock Auto and get a new CMC for now. That'll save $1100+ for now, money I can put towards driver training.
On another note, I looked into a 2019 Miata 30th anniversary. I drove a new 2023 earlier this year before I bought the S, and the ND2 is pretty damn good. The 30thAE seems like it would be an auto cross weapon, it's basically a cross between the GT and the Club Sport. Comes with Rays wheels, Brembo's, and Recaro's. It also has a convertible hardtop that is pretty slick. I'm not tall (5'10") but head room in that car is nonexistent. All in all, if the numbers would have worked out, I would have made a deal for it. But it was priced a little too high, and I don't LOVE it compared to the S.
Now if Honda decided to get serious about making a new S, different story. I think a 3 liter straight 6 would make a sweet S3000 but I'm not holding my breath. Even if they used a K-series, used some modern alloys, and gave her a little aero from the factory (Not a massive wing, just a little underbody sealing) it would be great to buy a new S.
it took Chris the morning to get to here. Only thing that broke was the plastic retaining clip for the rubber shift boot. New one was $4, should be here next week.
Chad and Chris working on getting the trans separated. Got a little hung up on the tunnel but Chris got it out eventually. Old pressure plate and throw out bearing I’d say this disc could have lasted another 10-20k of gentle driving but that ain’t how she gets run these days. Flywheel side of the friction disc Unfortunately I don’t have a machine shop in town that can resurface the flywheel. It’s flat so we are going to scuff it up for the new disc. Dirty but no chunks. Trans will get cleaned and regreased. Should be feeling good as new once it’s all buttoned up. Ready for another 100k miles.
All looks well in there. Once you get a new CM you'll be good to go. I'd highly recommend using Honda Urea grease for all clutch parts that require it. It is really good at keeping things lubed up and smooth for a very long time.
