Clutch replace
Got the new slave on yesterday and man, think this is the first time since I’ve owned my car the transmission is fully sorted. It’s just awesome.
swapping the slave was pretty simple so I didn’t take any pics. Quick gravity bleed and she was ready to go.
looking back, if I need to do the bare minimum, replacing the clutch master and slave was likely all I needed. When I had the factory clutch in my hands it still had a good amount of life left in it. Worst part was the throw out bearing, but I was happy to have all new parts in there.
after seeing the wear on the head of the clave cylinder push rod, I could probably due with a new fork. I’ll keep that in mind for now. If I get around to replacing the rubber boot, I’ll be sure to inspect the fork then. Would have been nice if my shop mentioned something about it, but they know I was trying to keep my spending within budget.
all in all I’m happy. Just wanted to share these last thoughts.
