Crank issue...
What is off by 0.0001? I'm pretty sure every spec for the crank can be off by 0.0001 and still be in spec..
you realize that the clearances should be at least 0.0015 on the mains and 0.0020 on the rods.. 0.0001 isnt going to make any difference.

ohhh maybe i should tell him then lol.... hes only worked on 4 s2000 motors and all of them were just putting a stroker kit on em since they spun a bearing or messed their bottom end up... i dunno hes going to tell me the exact clearances today and i'll post them up...
where did you get those specs from?? the .0015 and the .0020 on the rods?? maybe i should tell him that ha

factory spec for main clearance is 0.0006 to 0.0016, IMHO from my experience 0.0015 to 0.0020 is better
Factor spec for rod clearance is 0.0016 to 0.0021, I always shoot for the looser end of that, 0.0018-0.0022

One-tenth of a thousandth, one thousandth, or 10 one-thousandths? The difference does matter.

indeed, one-tenth of a thousandth, one thousandth, or 10 one-thousandths? The difference does matter.
it is really hard to tell what the issue is with the crank. If it is bent, then the run out test will show that measurement. If it is within spec, use it. If not replace it. the Spec for runout is .03mm to .04mm or .001" to .002". So if the run out is .008" then it is bent.
The clearance for the bearing is why there are 5 different sizes of bearing available from Honda. For some strange reason, there is only one size from other vendors (ACL for example). So if .008 is the clearance on the mains you are fine.
FYI, a new from the dealer crank shaft lists for over 1K. So I new short block might have been the way to go.

Not sure If that was on the mains or what I'm sure y mechanic knows what he's doing. Ha hopefully but yeah he said it would prolly cause some vibration when I install it.. Tried to return the crank and the guy that sold it to me said he was gonna look into it and get back to me and left and hes not home for 7 weeks. In his listing he states he's not gonna be aroun for 7 weeks. Great guy.... So I filed a paypal claim....
