Sounds like theres a short in your electrical system, or a bad ground.
Did the battery turn the starter?
Time to whip out the DMM!

 

thanks to everyone wo bashed my thread......i bought my car to the dealer and they said the eps light has to do with my transmission going out and as far as the speedodmeter goes he said somethings wrong with my speed sensor.....going t et everything fixed over the weekend...thanks for everyone wo gave me advice and no thanks to everyone who hijacked my thread.....

by the way, EPS= electric power steering. Not related to transmission.....
