DIY: Spring and Shock Installation
Sorry to bring back from the dead...but I was looking for some useful info and found it elsewhere, thought I'd post it up here for someone else's reference.

If you're feeling adventurous/want to save time, loosen the top 14mm nut on the top of the shock w/o a spring compressor. The trick is to put one foot on the spring, and one on the ground, and have the spring/shock assembly lined up perpendicular to your body laying on the ground. Hit the 14mm nut w/ an impact gun, and apply pressure to the nut/top hat. Finally, aim the base of the shock at something you don't like.. 
Voila, all nicely disassembled. Keep an eye out in case parts go flying. lol
You might need the spring compressor to compress the spring though to get the top on, but disassembling the old spring/shock assembly, this works great. I've change many springs/shocks w/ this method years ago w/o any issue.

Yes. I would always get an alignment when taking suspension parts off.
Got mine on. Nice easy job besides 1 bolt being seized and needing to find another one.
Definitely unbolt that gas line and swing it out of the way. Made it super easy to get back there and adjust the shock and all. Piece of cake.

Got mine installed using this guide and with a friends help. Awesome DIY!. The drilling was a PITA but PWR's 9/16" drill bit tip helped alot! It made the process alot faster. The rears (esp drivers side) wasn't a big issue at all. We just moved the gas line out of the way and was able to install it rather quickly.
Question though..I kept the Koni settings from factory. Whatever settings it is, it rides like stock. I forgot to mention I installed it with Espilir ASD springs. Does anyone know what the stock setting is? Also, if I want to go full soft and keep turning it clockwise, does it stop turning at some point (and vice versa) Just wondering if I have to memorize how many turns of the knob during adjustment.

I put the fronts close to full firm and the rears maybe half a turn back from full stiff. On rough roads it can be annoying but handling feels very nice! I might soften things up a little bit as it can get tiring like that for daily driving.
I guess there is a "stop" if you keep turning. I love this shock/spring combo. Rides really nice, so close to stock, lowered, and feels alot more stable. I would definitely recommend this combo if you're looking for comfort and looks.
