Goodmorning all,

I recently picked up a 50k mile, jdm f20c for my 2003 S2000. I was going to upgrade to the ap2 retainers but I read on the forums that the JDM (foreign) engines already have upgraded retainers and keepers. Can anybody shed some light on this for me? I'm just trying to save myself some work if that is the case . In the meantime I will continue to search this. Thanks in advance

Updated retainers came out in 2004, you'd have to check when the engine was built. Should be on the VIN stamped on the engine.
