I have heard that you cannot just remove the new 2004 tail lights from a 04 and just install them in a 2000 - 2003 cause it will not fit?! Is this true, will i have to do some body work to my trunk / quarter panels / rear bumper for these to fit right!?!? I have also heard that hardtopguy.com is developing a complete 1,2,3 kit to make the 00 - 03 coversion into 04's. Well, just wondering if anyone was any info it this!?!?!

I believe the outside of the new tails (by the quarter panels) is taller and more squared off, however I haven't actually measured anything for myself yet. Thats the best I can do for ya

You have to cut the back of the tail light and cut the car. There is no way a install kit can be made allowing the reverse lights to work without cutting the car.

I think that Hardtopguy is working on a "do it yourself kit" for the 04 tails. You may want to contact Jeff. He is very reliable and will give you the best deal.

I don't know how in the world that would work. I have done this conversion with another member on his car and it requires cutting, so if thats what you call a do it yourself kit. Maybe it comes with a saw..
