Does your engine/exhaust sound different on different days?
My 2001 S2k (8500 miles) sounds completly different on some days.
First of all, it never sounds bad. However, on certain days. I can't pinpoint which yet...although it seems as if its either 1) cold...say below 30 degrees, 2) wet (not raining like f**&%G cats/dogs because I don't push things then, but at least a drizzle) or 3) very windy (like sustained about 20-30/ and gusts to 50)...yea, I live in the midwest.
The difference is that on those type days the engine sounds almost four to five times as loud...also, during these times it seems just a wince slower. When I run through the gears it seems as if everyone within sight is hearing them and looking...as if to say...shift already...not that I'm not used to this in normal daily driving...but it seems as if everyone is more intent and it DOES sound SO MUCH louder.
I have no mods to speak of. Otherwise car runs terrific...have taken it to 150 now. Any suggestions or similar experiences...or am I just...well, not in touch on those days
Thanks

with HKS Exhuast, AEM Cold Air Intake
Hot: Quiter at low RPMS. VTEC transition is less audible
Cold: Very loud resonant sounds at 2500-4500RPM. VTEC engagement point becomes much obvious/audible
Performance wise, nothing by butt dyno detects...

I noticed my exhaust tone change today on the way to work. As I was driving it changed from the normal stock sound I'm used to, to a more mellow, lower and slightly louder tone. Like I magically when from 4 to 6 cylinders. I think it sounds better now, no complaints.
My S has a little over 15k on it, so I'm wondering if it has finally broken in or something.
