dome light

Dome lights...just use the light from street lamps since the top is always down, am I right?

damn good job on the pics. i see you got some leds, that's the only reason i originally took mine apart (for the install) and i found the oxidation crap and figured what was causing the intermittent lighting...

on my ap1 the dome lights themselves work when i manually turn them on. but when i move the switch from "off" to "on" they don't turn on. i have no idea why. Any suggestions on what to check first?

Take the light out and clean the oxidation. Should solve everything.

excellent write up and pics i did this same thing to mine about a month ago.

i'm confused about the extra wiring it looks like you added for the LEDs though...what's that for?

Another alternate to taking everything apart and doing it right is hitting the dome light casing REAL HARD with a closed fist late at night when you've dropped your keys and can't find them. Ask me how I know.

The only extra wiring is the adapters that came with the LEDs. The wedge bulb that goes in place of the stock bulb has the red and white wiring to provide power to the LED boards. It's really just plug n play with some double sided tape to hold the LEDs up. They look GREAT at night and provide much more light. Highly recommended
