Speaking of domelight/spotlights.. mine don't work at all. I suspect is a blown fuse.. anyone knows where that fuse might be, and which one in particular is it? 10x
look under the steering column towards the door side, you will see the fuse panel. i just checked mine today and it was a 7.5 amp fuse. the fuse panel label is on the quarter panel.
This is because of the way it its wired. When you remove the screws you remove the ground. Screw the light fixture in and the problem should be fixed.

I had a problem with My '03 a couple years ago... noo lights. My problem was a bad resistor in the dome light wiring and unable to fix. Had to order new dome light assembly found on ebay. works fine now.

Finally was able to do this! Took about 5 mins and recommend using the 8mm than the screwdriver lol And I just used a scouring pad aka the green dish washing pad, dry one of course to get rid of the corrosion! Took it clean off!!! I have dome lights now!!!! Thank you for the write up!!!

so every function of my light works EXCEPT for coming on with the doors. works when i lock/unlock with the remote as well as key in/out of the ignition. Is my light functioning differently due to the factory alarm being installed? i just wish i could extend the self arm time so that it stays on a tad longer.

My dome lights work when the drivers door opens, but not the passenger door. Could this issue be the dome light contacts or something else?

Check the rubber button switch between the door and the car. The ground might be loose. My switch's ground on the driver's side was acting up so I opened it up and found out that the threading on the body was stripped (must have been previous owner or opening and closing the door too much). I wrapped the bolt in aluminum foil and everything worked fine.

It happens to me too, the switch has to be exactly in a certain position for the lights to come on. Unfortunately that position is not where the switch clicks but like half a mm off, and if it's not exactly there it's like the lights were off.
