Default Driver's Window Switch Not Working

Hi everyone,

I have an AP1 that has had intermittent problems with the driver's side window not working. When the problem occurs, there is no relay noise and the switch very clearly does not send power to the window motor. The passenger's side works normally, as does the top. In the past, I've been able to fix the issue by moving the driver's window fuse (#17) out and back in again before it completely bottomed out. If pressed all the way in, the window would not move, but if it sat just before bottoming out, it would. I have tried using electrical contact cleaner and a small wire brush to remove any corrosion that could be on the contacts in the fusebox and have tried several different replacement fuses to no avail. Both sides of fuse 17 show 12 volts when the black end of the multimeter is grounded.

I am admittedly a complete novice with troubleshooting electrical problems, but any guidance on where to begin would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much for your help!

I suspect the fuse "fix" was a coincidence, and it's probably just a bad regulator. Pretty common unfortunately -- search in Under the Hood forum for window regulator replacement threads.
