Default Drivetrain Compatability

I'm installing an AP2 transmission, AP2 prop shaft, and AP2 4.56 differential in my AP1 next week. I've bought all the necessary bolts and bearings etc.

My question is: Will I have problems because all the components are from different AP2's?

I just hope I don't have to balance anything. The prop shaft is my main concern.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

The flanges on the AP2 tranny and AP2 diff are different from the AP1, but you're using the AP2 propshaft so you should be good there.

I don't think the driveshaft flanges are any different, either, but I'd confirm that from someone else.

Thanks for the reply!

I'm more concerned about the balance of all the parts working together since they're from different AP2's (3 different cars).

I'm probably over thinking this. I'll throw it all together and see how it turns out.

The Service Manual says to line up the white paint marks on the transmission, prop shaft and diff input if you are replacing any of those parts. I'm pretty sure the above poster is right, the diff's prop shaft input is different between AP1 & 2, but the driveshaft outputs are the same. The AP2 diff housing is beefier and preferred but completely interchangeable.

You're good. Slap everything on.
