Engine braking noise
Ok I am new to this forum and have just perchased an 01 S2000 with only 22800 miles the car is perfect except for one issue, when I'm engine braking say to a stop sign or red light etc. the car makes a noticeable vibration noise around 4000 -5000 Rpms down to roughly 2000 Rpms if I put the clutch in it immediately stops and it has had no effect on performance whatsoever my only concern is if I gently rest my foot on the clutch while engine braking I can feel it vibrating along with the noise. Being a mechanical noob and hoping I didn't just end up with a low mileage junker I'd like any thoughts you all might have on this.
Two words my friend.
Clutch. Buzz.
A common issue on the AP1 due to a rattle in the gearbox. It is solved with one of the technical service bulletins and/or replacement of the clutch plate I believe.
Harmless besides the noise.
