I have owned the car for the last 12000 miles, with no burn outs, or abusive driving. The only thing that I can think of was a up shift on the highway, from 4th to 5th and missing it into 3rd. But the original problem with the noise came about a few days later and the car was fine till then. Also my 3rd gear grinded and thought It was going to be addresed with the trans. teardown, when I asked him he said everything else looked fine so nothing else was changed. Cant tell you how pissed off I was when I shifted on my test drive and heard the grind. The problem with the sound is still there but a bit more muffled, the mechanic said, that the new parts and old need to get used to each other. Go figure... Anyway one problem was resolved with the missing teeth but feel that the problem with the noise still needs to be looked into. So, Im taking into another shop called Jap Auto Care off of bird road for another check into the sound. Has anyone ever dealt with this shop before? Thanks.
