hey guys
I just got a oil change at around 48,xxx kms at a dealership and now I"m around 50,3xx kms. I just check my engine oil stick and on one side of the stick (front), all the quarts seem to be full but when I look at the other side, its showing I've loss all but one quart. Which side is correct? If its the back side, is there something wrong my car, burning up that mch oil in around 2000 kms?

it should work w/ both sides......but one side has the marks.

 

give it a couple tries, and they should even out, the lowest one is telling the truth.

 

Both sides are the same.

Let is sit overnight then check it. It will be much easier to read.

When both sides show the same reading, you can consider it accurate.

 

The L to H on the dipstick covers one quart in total. Therefore, if the oil level is half way between the L and H, you are down a HALF quart.
