Going home from work the other day, my car decided not to start. When I push the engine start button, there's absolutely no sound at all. The battery is fine. The dash light, radio, and headlights all turn on fine. I checked the fuse it seems fine. The clutch switch also looks ok. It releases when the clutch is depressed. The only way I got the car started was from push starting the car.

Possible problems:
1. Starter is bad
2. or the engine start button is bad.

Any advice on how else to start it?

Try push starting it. Also check the starter. I know it has two wires (im not sure what they are lol) but make sure they are both plugged in.

 

Problem solved. It was the $2 rubber stopper on the clutch. Starting and running fine. Thanks!
