Default possible ignition problem

I got into my car like normal, then i turned the ignition switch all the way and pushed the engine start button but the engine didnt turn on and i didnt hear any clicking or cranking. I read a few things on what it can be,idk if its an issue with the ignition switch, fuse, or possibly the clutch switch. If you have any ideas of what it might be do i do appreciate your help.

It could be a dead battery too. Not likely the ignition switch it would be rare to fail, though it is possible. Check under the dash to make sure the clutch switch is being engaged when the pedal is fully pushed down.

Funny I had the same thing happen to me on Wednesday.

I'm at work and get into my car to grab lunch and nothing when I press the start button. The fan came on, and the radio was fine, everything was good but nothing would happen.

I went inside to search s2ki and came back outside 20 mins later, and it started just fine, I moved the car to a diff spot, and shut off and started it up and it was fine.

When I got off, it started up fine, and went home and left to take out gf, and started fine and THEN when we got outa dinner, the sone of a bitch would not start.

I had to have the car towed home, and following day when I went to move the car - figured what the hell might as well see if it started before pushing it into garage, and it started fine.

It was the starter that was bad.

I replaced the starter (super easy, takes maybe 2-3 hours if you are nor mechanically inclined).

Ever since then, car starts fine. The battery or the alternator was not the culprit. Starter was just tired I guess.

Also mine is a MY2000.

Replace the starter, because it just might leave you stranded someplace. It cost me 92 + 45 for core charge, which I got refunded once I gave them my old one back.
