EPS light problem

i will check again to see if you can jump any connectors to get EPS code
, i don't see any info for that so far.
Thats the thing...the EPS light IS on, however, when the car is standing still, I can turn the steering wheel with ONE wrist, without any struggle.

oh sorry , i thought your light is off. Try to jump the DLC #1 brown (service check input) and #12 Black (ground) , turn on the car it should give you flash code. Count long and short flashes, long flashes is the first digit, short flashes is the second digit. then will go from there....

Ok, so it's not pin #4 and pin #9?

You are saying...

1)Jump pin #1 and pin #12
2)Turn the car to ACCII
3)Watch the EPS light flashes
4)Record them and post back?

Also, just to make sure we are on the same page, which way are you counting? (which pin is #1 and which is #12)

My advice would be use pin four and nine. Flash the code(s) and go from there.
DLC pin number is standard, refer to the picture of the connector if you need

i used non-SAE ternimal number used in service manual.
if you not sure which pin is which, look into the color of the wires. jump Brown and Black.

It is PIN 4 to PIN 9 on the DLC.

Here's what I got saved in a text file. I think it's still accurate.

The OBD-II specification provides for a standarized hardware interface

Follow his link, it'll work. Good pictures, same procedure for the S2000. Works for normal CEL DTC's as well as ABS, SRS, EPS DTC's. All of these DTC's can also be cleared without the dealership at least up to MY03.
