Default Factory Security Remote Problem!

How long do the batteries in the Honda Security Systems remotes usually last? I know the manual says not to use them all the time because they use alot of juice but 2 weeks is kinda ridiculous. Also I usually have to be about 15 feet from the car for them to work. Sometimes closer. My factory door remotes were much better but my car had the security system in it and I want to use it. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Mrcln1

They should last a least a few months with alot of use. But it boils down to the amount of use per day to get a long term time frame. You can also change the battery out your self check places like radioshack for replacment batteries. It should work from father than 15 feet away.

The factory remotes I've got on my Odyssey are coming up on three years old and I think I've changed the battery one (1) time! I wouldn't worry about it unless it's giving you problems.
