from the pics it looks like it's off a tooth. i had the same problem, it looked lined up, but it wasnt.

O and just curious, where exactly would you place the amperage pick up for the timing light. I am pretty sure you cant use one on our cars.

im not sure. when i got tuned a while back im pretty sure the guy just connected it over the wires that went to the coil packs.

timing was off. and i am so glad that thing started!!! i never heard a brand new engine started before but now i have! YESssss!!

yes it was. But i could not line it straight with the crank on the white mark. i had to move the crank clockwise about 1/2 and inch and then set the cams. When i did that she started right up! I am still wondering why the crank pully marks are off!
